    Description

This is a Clark Mainsail that was built for my Rozinante in 1997.  The sail is for the redesigned Doug Hylan sailplan, which is a higher aspect rig than the original.  I used the sail for less than a half a season back then.  Its been in my basement ever since.  The sail is in excellent condition, which I think one can see from the photos.  Clark Sailmakers was based in Essex, Connecticut for many years and had an excellent reputation.  They made sails with lots of handwork, which you just don’t see these days.  The cloth weight is 6 oz. as I recall.  The color is Egyptian cotton, which is an off white color.  All tripled stitched.  It has one deep reef.  There are four battens which I have but did not photograph.  The sail measures 168 sq. Ft.  Dimensions are as follows, foot 12’, luff 27’ 5”, and leech approx. 29’ 3”.  Also comes with its original sail bag.
