    Description

    This New AC Current Transformer (so called because it plugs into a DMM’s Current jack) is New/Old Stock, and is in perfect electrical condition and almost perfect cosmetically (see photos.) This Current Transformer/Clamp extends the AC Current measurement range of a DMM from a typical maximum of 20 Amps up to 150 Amps, without the need to break the circuit. All you need is the ability to clamp around a single circuit conductor. The DMM reads out in mAmps, where 1 mAmp = 1 Amp. For example, if the DMM reads 9.18 mAmps, the actual current is 9.18 Amps (see photo). Another advantage of a clamp device is that an over-current situation is far less likely to blow a DMM’s current fuse (these can be expensive). A few specifications follow:
